About

We are a group of professionals fixated on the American soccer player and his/her plight to become a professional and make a career out of the sport. We have found two routes that will give our players the same advantages as those of the rest of the world: Futsal as a supplement and training aid to make professional soccer players, and futsal as a means to making professional futsal players.

FUTSAL AS A SUPPLEMENT TO OUTDOOR SOCCER

Throughout the past five years Apex Soccer has traveled around the world in search of the best methods for developing youth soccer players. We have observed the top player-producing youth academies from Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Argentina and England as well as the United States. The question was simple: What makes a country like Croatia (with a population of 4 million total people and minimal resources) better at producing top talent for England and the US than England or the United States themselves (a country with over 4 million registered youth soccer players and infinite resources)?

The answer is FUTSAL. It has deep roots in the countries who are now reaping its rewards 20 years later.

Based on our findings, each nation has its own “brand” of football but there are five main concepts that unify the different schools of thought from the best player-producing nations in the world. These are the principles that govern Apex Futsal in its mission to aid the current USSF structure in developing talent that would be of value to the world transfer market:

1. Apprentice Infrastructure
2. Guided Discovery Approach
3. Periodized Training Model
4. Competition Based Training
5. Quantitative Evaluations

FUTSAL AS A PATH TO A CAREER IN FUTSAL

Though there is no current pathway in the United States for a player to become a professional futsal player, our program works to create the opportunities abroad by utilizing the following formula:

1. Consistent Professional Training
2. Regularly Scheduled Opportunities to Compete
3. High Stakes Competitions scheduled throughout the year
4. Overseas development opportunities
5. Overseas exposure opportunities.
